Central Act:

Law and Order is in the concurrent list of the Constitution of India where maintenance of law and order is the joint responsibility of state as well as Central Govt. Government of India has formulated the Central Act, which is called PSAR-Act 2005 or PSARA -2005 that govern all the guidelines of running a Private security company business. This act is formulated keeping in view the security requirements of the Govt. and Non- Govt. commercial establishments and have taken the made the State Governments also a part of the execution of this Central Act as Law and Order is the joint responsibility of the Central and the State Governments.

State Act:

PSAR Act 2005 allows the State Governments to frame its own rules and by laws for effective execution of PSAR ACT 2005. The process of getting PSARA License varies state to state and the details are furnished in the above tab “ PSARA License Application”.
