Private Security Agencies Act 2005, which is popularly known as PSAR Act 2005, regulates the business of operating Private Security Agency in India and the license for security agencies is popularly called PSARA License.
No entity can run the Private security business in India without the PSAR License and in case of doing so; the consequences are ugly and inevitable to face. We advise all security companies to honor the government guidelines and the PSAR Act 2005 if they want to flourish and sustain the business of Private Security In India. The government has recently amended the supervision and monitoring mechanism of all Security companies and have given clear guidelines to the State DGP / commissioner offices to get the Quarterly reports of Manpower Deployed, Training conducted, Police Verification of Guards, Validity of PSARA License from all the Security Companies of the State.
